Spectator Shuttle ScheduleGrammy-nominated hip hop artist k-os and Juno-nominated rockers Hedley are the highlight of a stellar weekend of entertainment as Whistler welcomes the world for the “2008 TELUS presents the Whistler World Cup.” Whistler’s Village Square will be a-buzz for three consecutive nights as some of Whistler’s favourite local bands and Canada’s biggest chart-toppers hit the stage to perform for what promises to be a weekend party bursting with unforgettable entertainment and world class ski racing. “The eyes of the world will be on Whistler when TELUS presents the Whistler World Cup event,” said Steve Podborski, TELUS director of Sport Marketing. “TELUS is committed to connecting Canadians to the sports we love and we are thrilled to present not only a world-class ski competition, but an incredible festival in the Village Square when TELUS presents Whistler World Cup.” Hedley is set to take the stage Feb. 22nd at 4:45 p.m. in Village Square prior to the Men’s bib draw at 6 p.m. on a night capped by the TELUS VIP World Cup Ski Party at the TELUS Whistler Conference Centre. On Feb. 23rd, k-os will get the crowd buzzing starting at 4:45 p.m. before the Ladies bib draw at 6 p.m. The “2008 TELUS presents the Whistler World Cup” includes a Men’s super G Feb. 21st and giant slalom Feb. 23rd. The Ladies race a downhill Feb. 22nd, with downhill training beginning Feb. 19th, and a super combined Feb. 24th.
